影片介紹：

1941年12月太平洋戰爭爆發，台灣人大量被動員投入戰場。1942年由台南白河演 習所結訓，派往北婆羅洲古晉、山打根等地之盟軍戰俘監視員，於終戰時這些台灣軍屬有173人被當戰犯審判，21人被判「絞首刑」，其餘以2~20年不等的 徒刑關進集中營。他們在政府的漠視、遺棄、監控下，背著沉重的枷鎖，在底層打拼討生活。

戰爭的遭遇，被他們視為生命史中幽暗、不堪的回憶，他們在「失去祖國」之後，面臨認同的危機，走過兩個時代的人，卻有何處是兒家之感。透過影音紀錄幾近凋零的二戰台籍戰犯，與這些老人家們作心靈的對話，從常民的觀點檢視歷史，並引出戰爭與人性之間的一些問題。
In December in 1941, the Pacific War broke out. Hundreds of Taiwanese were recruited to join the war. 1942,Trained in Shirakawa POW camp in Tainan,Taiwan,Detached as a POW camp inspector of Batu Lintang Camp and Sandakan Camp in north Borneo.When the war was ended, these Taiwnanese soldiers were sent to court as prisoners of war. Among these people, twenty of them were hanged, and the rest of them were sentenced to serve 2 to 20 years in jail. These people were ignored, surveiled and abandoned by their government. With the heavy shackles of prisoners of war, these people strove to go on with their lives.

They thought of the days at war as the most gloomy and embarrassing pages in their lives. After losing their Motherland, they were faced with identity crisis. Living through two generations, they were,however, haunted by loss of sense of belonging. This movie intends to record these withering soldiers. Through the converstaions and visual images, the movies reveals some issues regards humanty and war.

導演簡歷：

陳志和，國立雲林技術學院設計碩士，曾任職傳播、設計、攝影公司，中學、大學講師。全景傳播公司紀錄片人才培訓班結業後投入紀錄片工作，並從事膠彩畫及影像創作，參與官方及民間各大聯覽，開設攝影個展。

Chih-Ho Chen, the director has an MFA degree in creative design from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. He used to work various creative fields ranging from communications, design, filming, high schools to universities. Since finishing the documentary film-making program offered by 全景 Communications Company, Chen has been devoted to producing documentaries. Meanwhile, he has held both official and non-official exbihibitions on glue-painting, visual image creations, and photography.
